I needed some yarn (needed should probably be in quotes, assume that I'm making air quotes around the word as I type), which was the perfect excuse to stop in the holy triangle of food in San Francisco. I got my yarn, then ice cream at Bi-Rite Creamery (salted caramel for me, candy cane for the kids), pizza from Pizzeria Delfina, and a stop at Tartine for snacks for another time.
It's amazing how well the kids handle a yarn errand if offered ice cream as a reward. I was going to write "if offered nice ice cream," but honestly, my kids don't care that much about quality. It could have been a scoop of Thrify ice cream and they would have been happy.
