We'd been waiting for hot water before we moved back into the house. The water heater went up Friday, was finished up on Saturday, and we moved in on Sunday.
No sooner had we left my sister's house than we realized we'd have to go back to watch game four of the World Series. All of the restaurants with TVs were packed, leading us to pick up dinner and head to my sister's until the bottom of the ninth when Rocket was clearly ready for bed. At home, I frantically refreshed my phone while the kids got ready for bed. I saw the last batter go to three strikes, and I kept refreshing until it finally registered three outs, and I refreshed again and again until the page said final. Finally, final. We all cheered. We could hear fireworks. I didn't sit down and cry my eyes out like when they won in 2010. Back then, I never thought it would happen. This time I knew it was possible.
The dry wall continues today as the texturing and sanding continues.
This was the living room skylight on Thursday:
And this was it on Friday:
