Moxie from madebymoxie held a monster making workshop that I loved, despite already knowing how to make monsters. Watching her make hair out of a furry yarn was helpful, not to mention she was full of other tips, including repurposing kids' clothing to make the monsters. Kid clothing is especially durable, therefore makes good monsters, according to Moxie. This picture does not do her or her hair color justice, but seeing her was one of the highlights for me.

A giant, robotic thumbs up for the Maker Faire. We loved it, even if the mousetrap was overrated and overcrowded.
(Disclosure: I was given a press pass and family admission to the Maker Faire. Free admission was especially good because I blew my budget in the Bazaar Bizarre.)
