NaBloPoMo is really not that difficult. Sure, there are a few days when I would have liked to have forgotten about posting, but other than that, it was fine. I thought the same thing last year and decided I would try to continue posting daily in December. So much for good intentions: I think I promptly took almost two weeks off after that. But this year I will not take the same sabbatical because I have some loot to give away!
Way back this summer I got a swag bag from BlogHer courtesy of the well connected ladies at the Silicon Valley Moms Blog (I did not go to BlogHer because it seemed like too much effort, which I regretted almost immediately) and it had a ton of good stuff inside, most of which I cannot use (or haven't used - I'm talking about the nipple cream which when I heard about it, I assumed was for chaffing from breast feeding. Wrong! But it is strawberry flavored!). Clover treated the swag bag like a torn open pinata: she desperately wanted everything that came out of it. Most of all she wanted one of the shirts I am giving away.
So, up on the block are two t-shirts (new with tags) and two baby sign language DVDs. If you are interested in any of these things for yourself or as holiday gifts, leave a comment with the item(s) you want and if more than one person wants each item, I'll let Clover pick the name out of a hat. I'd let Rocket pick, but his hands are usually all slobbery and the paper would stick. You can get two entries if you correctly pick which shirt Clover desperately wanted to keep.
The first shirt is an XL long sleeve American Apparel shirt by Planet Mom that says "I need a playdate." It is embroidered and really well made, but it looks like it is cut to cling (it's their 'classic girl' shirt), which makes me feel incredibly insecure, especially because it already looks too small for me.
The second shirt is a fun, long sleeve L American Apparel mom shirt from www.LTDchix.com that is pink, shows a mom vacuuming a mess and says "Living the Dream." Also the classic girl cut, but it is thinner and looks about the same size as the playdate shirt.
The unopened sign language DVDs are from My Baby Can Talk and are for kids 10 months and up.
I promise to get these to the post office this year and I will really try to do it soon, but this isn't eBay and you guys don't get to rate my slow shipping. I'll pick the winners next Wednesday.
